Portfolio progress...

So far I am in the process of locating and sorting photos from my past job as a property preservation specialist. In that job we did evictions, lock changes, cleaning and maintaining foreclosed bank owned properties.  I have found some pictures and am still sorting to create a mini digital journey of some of the things I experienced in that line of work.

What I want to experience is the process of making art. It is vital in my work and the reason I make art is that moment or span of time when the work consumes me and all things, problems, stress, worries in the world fade. I am less concerned with the final product but it becomes a pleasant surprise in the end if the final result is aesthetically pleasing or conveys a message.

I enjoy making organic forms as well as using natural and industrious materials. As far as what I want my work to visually communicate I am not sure.

Things, people, places I feel connected to:

The Ocean- (photos I took in Key West)

Artist- (all images from google images)
Tara Donovan-

Andy Goldsworthy-

M.C. Escher-

I also feel very connected to Florida. Being Florida native and Spending my whole life here Florida is a part of me. I love nature, natural things, the ocean, and helping protect it. I try to live by the motto my dad always said when we went camping: "Leave it cleaner than when we got here."
